The Franklin Street Bakery encompasses both a wholesale commercial bakery and a retail operation/pizzeria. Along with providing the sinfully delicious pastries and breads to Tejas, Goodfellow's and Bar Abilene, our products are available to the finest restaurants, hotels and retail establishments through your foodservice distributor. Our bakery started as an in-house bakery at Goodfellow's, but moved to South Minneapolis in 1994 to accommodate the growing demand for its products.

The first retail operation of the Franklin Street Bakery opened in October of 1998 in the Marketplace of Dayton’s (now Marshall Field's) flagship store in downtown Minneapolis. In the spring of 2001, our popular line of made-to-order personal gourmet pizzas were introduced and became an instant hit to an eager public.

John Dayton, Wayne Kostroski, and Mark Haugen are the principals of Cuisine Concepts, the umbrella organization and operating company of Tejas, located at 50th and France in Edina, Goodfellow's, located in downtown Minneapolis, the The Franklin Street Bakery, a wholesale bakery with a flagship retail store located in Marshall Field's Marketplace in downtown Minneapolis, and a restaurant management and consulting business. Cuisine Concepts also conceived, developed, and currently manages Bar Abilene in Uptown, Minneapolis. The business relationship began in 1987, and the current partnership was formed in 1994.

Coming from the south metro area:
35W North to downtown exit-11th Street/East Grant. Take East Grant to Chicago Ave - Right on Chicago to Franklin Ave. Left on Franklin Ave to 11th Avenue – We are on the left side (North side of Franklin Ave).

Coming from the North metro area:
35W South to 94 West exit, take 11th Avenue exit, left on 11th Avenue to Franklin Ave. Bakery is on the right hand side (corner of 11th Avenue & Franklin Ave). The customer parking lot is just before Franklin Avenue to the left.

Coming from the West metro area:
394 or I-94 East to Lyndale-Hennepin Exit. Take Lyndale Avenue to left on Franklin Avenue. Go east on Franklin to 11th Avenue (approximately 1.5 miles). We are on the left side (north side of Franklin Avenue)

Coming from the East metro area:
I-94 West to 5th Street Exit. You will exit to the Metrodome. Take a left on 11th Avenue. Go south approximately .75 miles to corner of 11th Avenue and Franklin Avenue. The customer parking lot is just before Franklin Avenue to the left.
