The first retail operation of Franklin Street Bakery opened in October of 1998, in the Marketplace of Dayton’s (now Macy’s) flagship store in downtown Minneapolis. In 2003, Franklin Street Bakery’s wholesale operations moved to its current location on the corner of 11th and Franklin Avenues. This facility included space for a pastry kitchen and retail store. Since that time, the Franklin Street Bakery retail store has become a Twin Cities’ ‘foodie’ destination and has received numerous ‘Best of the Twin Cities’ recognitions (see Press & Awards).
